Meet our Horses

In addition to our sales horses, Lucky Cricket Farm is also home to a few permanent residents.

  • Tidewater Tomcat

Tomcat came to Colleen with the goals of becoming an eventer. Though he quickly developer a great canter and an even better jump, a mysterious lameness eventually led to his retirement. However, the retired life did not suit Tomcat and he insisted on having a job, leading to a third career as a trick horse. Tomcat was a quick learner and more importantly, a patient partner while Colleen honed her training skills.

  • Determine This

Cricket and Colleen have enjoyed many adventures together. The pair has competed in dressage, trail riding, hunter paces and have represented standardbreds at expos and other events. In recent years, Cricket has taken a step back from competing but still enjoys hitting the trails and teaching the new horses how to relax outside of the ring. As Colleen’s first horse and the farm’s namesake, Cricket will always have a special place on the farm.
