Barn Rules
Be nice to others, both people and horses, no exceptions. Treat everyone with the same kindness and respect with which you would like to be treated, while on the farm, at shows or clinics and on social media.
No smoking or drug use on our property.
All riders must sign a Liability Release Waiver before handling or mounting any horse on farm property.
If you move something, please put it back. If you open it, close it (doors, gates, etc.). If you turn it on (water, lights, etc), turn it off. If something breaks or needs attention, please let management know.
Ride at your own risk.
ASTM approved helmets and appropriate, closed-toe footwear must be worn by all riders at all times while mounted.
Only ride in approved locations. You may ride in the stone dust arena, or in the back fields as long as they are not wet. Please treat the property as if it were your own and do not ride in the fields when they are wet.
Keep horses on a lead at all times when out of the stall or pasture.
Do not tie horses to any stall, sliding stall door or fence; it is dangerous!
When riding in fields or trails, watch out for groundhog holes and other marked and unmarked obstacles. If you find animal holes that should be marked, please let us know.
We love dogs, but please leave your dogs at home!
If you are riding at feed time, we will leave the horse’s feed so that you may feed them after your ride and after they are cooled.
Please return the horse to wherever you got them from before your ride (stalled horse should be returned to stall, horse in field should be returned to field - and blanketed if they were wearing one before you turned them out) unless otherwise stated.
Please ensure you leave the barn in the same (or better) condition as when you got there. All manure must be picked up from the aisles and arena and any excessive dirt or mud should be swept up as well.
Please notify management of any necessary repairs, maintenance, problems, or needed supplies so that repairs may be made or problems remedied as soon as possible.
Clean up after the horse when you have finished riding—put away all gear and remove all manure.
